Westville resident Michael A. Zappley was sentenced to 12 years in prison for the 2016 killing of Miguel Martinez III. Zappley admitted to killing the victim at an auto body shop before attempting to burn his remains in a wooded area.

Two New Brunswick men were hospitalized Sunday morning after their cars collided head-on on Jersey Avenue. Police are investigating the crash, which left one driver with serious injuries and the other with minor injuries.

Secaucus police arrested a Texas woman for allegedly stealing a car after the owner left the keys inside while entering a restaurant. Authorities discovered the suspect, Chanika Crear, also had an outstanding warrant out of Houston.

School Road East in Monmouth County will close between Dutch Lane Road and Route 537 starting Tuesday, September 22. The roadway project is expected to last one week, and drivers should use alternate routes to avoid construction delays.
⚖️ KINGWOOD TOWNSHIP MAN INDICTED ON SEXUAL ASSAULT AND CHILD ENDANGERMENT CHARGES 🚔
A Hunterdon County grand jury indicted 53-year-old Christopher H. Kascik for allegedly providing alcohol to and sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl. Kascik was a civilian employee of the Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Office at the time of his arrest.
🚨 86-YEAR-OLD DRIVER RESCUED AFTER CAR PLUNGES INTO MANCHESTER WATER HAZARD 🌊
Police rescued an 86-year-old man after he accidentally drove his car into a golf course water hazard in Manchester Township. Officers swam out to save the driver before the vehicle became fully submerged, and he was treated for minor injuries.
