🚨 Route 79 Crash Victim Identified As 80-Year-Old Ocean County Man
Authorities identified 80-year-old Harvey Sattleman of Manchester Township as the man killed in a two-vehicle crash on Route 79 in Marlboro. Sattleman died after his car crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a pickup truck on September 11.
MARLBORO TOWNSHIP, NJ — Authorities have identified the man who died following a two-vehicle crash on Route 79 earlier this month.
The victim was Harvey Sattleman, 80, of the Whiting section of Manchester Township, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
The crash happened on September 11 near Blossom Avenue and Route 79. Investigators said Sattleman was driving a 2002 Toyota Camry Solara southbound when the vehicle crossed into the northbound lanes and collided with a 2022 Ford F-350.
Sattleman was transported to a local hospital following the collision, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Ford F-350, a 52-year-old man from Port Monmouth, suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The investigation remains active and involves detectives from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART) and the Marlboro Township Police Department.
