🕊️ Vigil Planned To Honor Two Children Lost In Passaic River Tragedy 🕊️

A community vigil is planned Sunday afternoon to honor the lives of two 10-year-old children who tragically died after entering the Passaic River earlier this week.
Officials identified the children as Michael Klenk and Milian Dulan, both 10, of Garfield. Authorities said the children were near the river Wednesday evening when they entered the water. An 11-year-old sibling who was also present was able to safely reach shore.
Michael was recovered Wednesday night, and Milian’s body was recovered Friday evening after an extensive search by emergency crews.
The children were classmates at Public School No. 6 in Garfield. Community leaders expressed their condolences and support for the families, friends, classmates, and all those affected by the heartbreaking loss.
A “Gathering of Roses” will be held Sunday at 3 PM near Market Street at the Passaic River. Community members are encouraged to bring a pink or blue rose, with petals to be placed into the water as a symbol of love and remembrance.
Our thoughts and prayers remain with the families and the entire Garfield community during this unimaginable time. 🕊️
