🚨 TWO HOWELL RESIDENTS CHARGED IN SHOPLIFTING INVESTIGATION 🛍️👮

Two Howell residents have been arrested following a reported shoplifting incident at Wanderlust Land & Sea, a locally owned business on State Highway 35. Police responded to the business on July 30 after receiving a report of shoplifting. Investigators worked with the store owner and reviewed information provided by the business to identify the two individuals allegedly involved. On July 31, 42-year-old Marie Zuco and 39-year-old Matthew Mercer, both of Howell, were arrested and charged with shoplifting. Both suspects were processed and released on summonses and are expected to appear in court. Police credited the cooperation of the business owner and responding officers for helping bring the investigation to a quick resolution. ⚖️ All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
