š SOUTH JERSEY FIREFIGHTING COMMUNITY MOURNS LOSS OF 30-YEAR VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER

The South Jersey firefighting community is mourning the passing of Gregory Denison Leonberg Sr., a longtime firefighter, leader, and advocate who dedicated three decades of service to others. Leonberg passed away Thursday at the age of 68. Leonberg was a 30-year member of the Moorestown Fire Department Hose Company No. 1, where he served as Lieutenant and Fire Commissioner. He also spent years supporting firefighters across New Jersey, including serving on the board of the New Jersey Firemenās Relief Association and representing Burlington County on the New Jersey Firemenās Home board for 20 years. Beyond the fire service, Leonberg was remembered for his generosity, love of community, and his famous holiday displays that brought joy to many residents. He was also a devoted father who continued raising his four children as a single parent for the past 21 years.
