🎀 SEVEN SOMERSET COUNTY POLICE VEHICLES GO PINK FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
Seven Somerset County law enforcement agencies are debuting pink-wrapped vehicles this October to promote breast cancer awareness and early detection. The vehicles will appear at community events throughout the month to encourage residents to prioritize their health and routine medical screenings.
SOMERVILLE, NJ — Seven law enforcement vehicles across Somerset County are getting a bright pink makeover as local police agencies once again team up to promote breast cancer awareness, medical screenings and early detection.
The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, Somerset County Sheriff’s Office and five local police departments will utilize the specially wrapped vehicles throughout October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The participating agencies are:

The vehicles are being funded through support from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, Peapack Private Bank & Trust, Open Road Auto Group and the Far Hills Race Meeting Association.
Officials say the pink vehicles will be used during community events and engagements throughout the county to encourage both women and men to prioritize their health and learn about the importance of screenings and early detection.
Some of the vehicles will also provide access to information and resources through QR codes, allowing residents to obtain additional information about breast cancer screening and available services.
Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset’s Steeplechase Cancer Center, in partnership with Rutgers Cancer Institute, provides breast cancer care ranging from diagnosis and treatment through survivorship.
🎀 PINK VEHICLE UNVEILING
The seven vehicles will officially be introduced during a ceremony on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. outside the Somerset County Historic Courthouse in Somerville.
All seven vehicles will be on display during the event. Throughout October, the vehicles will also be available within their respective jurisdictions, where members of the public will have opportunities to sign the vehicles and take photographs.
Officials, law enforcement representatives, county commissioners, local government officials, community partners and representatives from the organizations funding the initiative are expected to attend the October 1 ceremony.
🎀 The campaign serves as a reminder that early detection and routine medical screenings can play an important role in identifying breast cancer.
