šØš SEARCH FOR MISSING 10-YEAR-OLD GIRL ENTERS RECOVERY PHASE IN PASSAIC RIVER š

The search for a 10-year-old Garfield girl who remains missing in the Passaic River has entered a recovery mission, with crews expanding their efforts farther downstream. Emergency personnel have been searching for days using boats, divers, helicopters, drones and sonar technology as authorities work to locate the child. The girl entered the river earlier this week with a 10-year-old boy and his 11-year-old sister. The boy's body was recovered Wednesday night, while his 11-year-old sister managed to reach safety. Officials believe the children were near a boat ramp when they entered the river. A nearby man attempted to help but was unable to reach them due to the strong current and unusually high water levels following recent heavy rainfall. Search crews are now expanding operations toward the Rutherford area, with officials from Passaic and Garfield coordinating resources in the ongoing effort. šš Our thoughts remain with the missing girl's family, loved ones, and the first responders continuing the search. šø Photo Credit: ABC7NY
