⚠️ Point Pleasant Man Seriously Injured in I-195 Crash in Jackson

A 38-year-old Point Pleasant man suffered serious injuries Friday morning after his Jeep hit a guardrail and a bridge rail on Interstate 195 in Jackson. New Jersey State Police are currently investigating why the vehicle left the roadway.
JACKSON, NJ — August 21, 2026 — A 38-year-old Point Pleasant man was seriously injured Friday morning after his Jeep SUV crashed along Interstate 195 in Jackson Township, according to New Jersey State Police.
Police said Adam M. Riepl was traveling eastbound on I-195 when his Jeep ran off the roadway near milepost 17.6 shortly after 6 a.m.
According to State Police, the SUV left the roadway to the left, struck a guardrail and became airborne before crashing into a concrete bridge rail. The vehicle eventually came to a stop.
Riepl suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The circumstances surrounding why the vehicle left the roadway remain under investigation by the New Jersey State Police.
