🚨🤼 NJSIAA Strips St. John Vianney Wrestler of Fourth State Title

The New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) has revoked the fourth state wrestling championship title of St. John Vianney High School wrestler Anthony Knox following a review of his involvement in a February 2025 tournament altercation. The NJSIAA Controversies Committee voted unanimously that Knox violated the association’s Sportsmanship Policy and Bench Rule after leaving the bench area during a brawl at a wrestling match in Collingswood. As a result, the committee ruled that Knox’s Region 7 championship and subsequent state championship title would be forfeited. The NJSIAA stated the decision was made to uphold the standards of sportsmanship, safety, and integrity within high school athletics. The decision remains subject to a possible appeal through the NJSIAA Executive Committee. Knox, who completed his high school career at St. John Vianney and later committed to wrestle for Rutgers University, had previously won four state championships.
