A Pennsylvania man has pleaded guilty after authorities say he attempted to force his former girlfriend into a vehicle while armed with a knife in Atlantic City. According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, police responded on September 28, 2025, to Adriatic Avenue for a report of a person being dragged into a vehicle. Investigators say Lucas Moran of Dunmore, PA was attempting to pull his former girlfriend into a Chrysler 300 when he allegedly displayed a knife. The victim was able to escape, and authorities say her mother intervened and prevented Moran from dragging her back into the vehicle. Moran allegedly fled the scene but was later stopped by New Jersey State Police on the Atlantic City Expressway, where a folding knife was found. Moran pleaded guilty to Aggravated Assault on a Domestic Violence Victim and faces a potential sentence of five years in New Jersey State Prison. 👏 Officials remind residents that domestic violence situations can escalate quickly.
