The New Jersey State Police dedicated the new Troop A Port Norris Station to Trooper Frankie Williams, who died in the line of duty in 2016. Family and officials gathered to honor his legacy at the facility serving Cumberland County.
The New Jersey State Police gathered with family, friends, and members of the agency's command staff Thursday for the dedication of the new Troop āAā Port Norris Station in honor of Trooper Frankie Williams #7953, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty on December 5, 2016.
Acting Superintendent Jeanne Hengemuhle joined members of the New Jersey State Police command staff, along with Trooper Williams' loved ones, for the dedication ceremony honoring his service and sacrifice.
Trooper Williams was assigned to the Port Norris Station at the time of his death. While he never worked out of the new building, the original Port Norris Station remains standing as a reminder of his service to the community and the people of New Jersey.
