🌊🚨 MAJOR FLOODING LEADS TO MULTIPLE RESCUES IN WOODLAND PARK 🚔🚒

A dangerous flooding situation in Woodland Park, Passaic County Tuesday afternoon prompted emergency crews to respond after severe thunderstorms caused rapidly rising waters throughout the area.

Officials say approximately 75 children and adults were safely rescued from several impacted locations, including childcare facilities, a medical office, retail businesses, and a vehicle affected by the flooding.

Responders worked quickly to evacuate those trapped and bring them to a safe location, where families could be contacted and transportation arrangements could be made.

The heavy rainfall caused widespread flooding concerns across parts of North Jersey, with some areas receiving several inches of rain. Crews also addressed a water main break on Rifle Camp Road after the storm passed.

Woodland Park officials credited police, fire, and emergency personnel for their swift response and dedication in keeping residents and visitors safe during the severe weather event.
