🚨🔴 Homicide Investigation Underway After Deadly Shooting in Trenton

Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred early Sunday morning near Trenton City Hall and NJ Weedman’s Joint on the 200 block of East State Street. 🚔 Trenton Police responded shortly before 4:00 AM after receiving reports of shots fired. Officers arrived and located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. 🚑 The victim was transported by EMS to Capital Health Regional Medical Center’s Trauma Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. A large crowd gathered following the shooting and attempted to provide assistance until police and emergency personnel arrived. 🔎 Detectives from the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Task Force are assisting Trenton Police with the investigation. ⚠️ This remains an active and developing investigation.
