🚨🌊 FIRE EXTINGUISHING AGENT DISCHARGE REACHES GRENLOCH LAKE 🚒

Officials are investigating a white, filmy substance discovered on Grenloch Lake in Washington Township, Gloucester County, after a complaint was submitted to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. The Gloucester County HazMat Response Unit and Washington Township Fire Department responded and determined the substance was connected to an accidental discharge of ABC dry chemical fire-extinguishing agent at the NJ Transit bus garage along Route 42/Black Horse Pike. Officials say less than 25 pounds of the low-toxicity material was released. The substance traveled into a nearby waterway before collecting in the southern portion of Grenloch Lake. Authorities say the release is expected to have a minimal impact on aquatic life. NJDEP emergency response personnel and NJ Transit environmental officials assisted with the investigation.
