🦌❤️ BUCK RESCUED AFTER FALLING INTO 12-FOOT-DEEP WELL IN HOPATCONG

A buck is back in the wild after an impressive rescue in Hopatcong. Emergency crews responded Friday after a deer was discovered trapped inside an abandoned, dried-up well approximately 12 feet deep. Hopatcong Police, local firefighters, and New Jersey Fish & Wildlife worked together to safely lift the animal from the well. Thanks to their quick response and teamwork, the buck was successfully rescued without further incident and released back into the wild. Officials are also reminding property owners to inspect and secure abandoned wells, uncovered holes, and other potential hazards to help protect both wildlife and the public. 📸 Photos: Hopatcong Police Department
