š BRIDGETON MAN ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGED ATM BREAK-IN AT BANK OF AMERICA
Bridgeton police arrested 37-year-old Evi Roa-Ruiz early Thursday morning after he allegedly broke into a Bank of America automated teller machine. Officers caught Roa-Ruiz following a brief foot pursuit and charged him with burglary, theft, and weapons offenses.
š BRIDGETON, NJ ā A Bridgeton man was arrested early Thursday morning after officers responded to a report of a person allegedly breaking into an ATM at a Bank of America location, according to the Bridgeton Police Department.
At approximately 3:04 a.m. on September 10, 2026, officers responded to 39 E. Commerce Street following a report of a male breaking into the ATM.
Upon arrival, officers reportedly observed a man wearing a black ski mask removing money from the ATM. A brief foot pursuit followed, and officers apprehended the suspect.
Police identified the suspect as Evi Roa-Ruiz, 37, of Bridgeton.
Roa-Ruiz was transported to the Bridgeton Police Department, where he was formally charged with:
š¹ Resisting arrest š¹ Obstruction š¹ Burglary š¹ Theft š¹ Possession of burglary tools š¹ Weapon possession for an unlawful purpose
He was subsequently transported to the Cumberland County Jail, where he was lodged without further incident.

Bridgeton Police also reported several other arrests around the same time:
ā¢ Romero Flores-Silva, 37, of Bridgeton ā charged with resisting arrest and contempt of court. He was released on his own recognizance.
ā¢ Franklin Dubon, 19, of Bridgeton ā charged with contempt of court and hindering. He was lodged in Cumberland County Jail.
ā¢ Yasmin Aviles-Santiago, 43, of Bridgeton ā charged with contempt of court and released on her own recognizance.
āļø All individuals charged are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
