The Belleville Police Department has selected Officer Paul Poplawski as its “Officer of the Month” for July 2026 in recognition of his professionalism, judgment, and dedication to the community.

According to police, Officer Poplawski was recognized for his actions during a recent incident that led to the safe apprehension of a suspect and the recovery of a firearm. Officials said he remained calm, focused, and composed while handling the investigation.

Although Officer Poplawski has been with the Belleville Police Department for less than a year, the department says he has already proven to be a dependable officer who consistently demonstrates commitment, professionalism, and a strong dedication to public service.

The Belleville Police Department congratulated Officer Poplawski on the honor and thanked him for his continued service to the Township of Belleville.
