ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — One of the Jersey Shore’s most recognizable landmarks is officially up for sale.
The historic Steel Pier in Atlantic City has been listed for $85 million, putting the nearly 130 year old amusement destination on the market and opening the door to potential new ownership and future development.
Steel Pier first opened in 1898 and has remained a major attraction along the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Today, the property features amusement rides, games, food vendors, entertainment and its well known observation wheel overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
📍 The pier sits directly across from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City and encompasses approximately 5.2 acres, extending roughly 965 feet into the Atlantic Ocean.
The property is being marketed by Serhant, with Ryan Serhant, Michele Zyska and Kevin Bergin representing the listing.
According to the listing, the property includes riparian rights, which could provide opportunities for the pier to extend farther into the ocean. Previous approvals have also allowed for potential condo hotel and entertainment development.
