Authorities identified 19-year-old Karrar F. Alogaili of Franklin Township as the victim of a fatal collision involving an electric motorcycle and another vehicle. The crash occurred on August 15 near Route 27, and the cause remains under investigation.
FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ — August 24, 2026 — Authorities have identified the 19-year-old man who was killed in a crash involving an electric motorcycle and a vehicle earlier this month in Somerset County.
Public Safety Director Lloyd N. Fredericks identified the victim as Karrar F. Alogaili, 19, of Franklin Township.
The crash happened shortly before 1:30 p.m. on August 15 near the intersection of Route 27 and South Middlebush Road in Franklin Township.
Officers responding to the crash found Alogaili suffering from serious injuries. Despite emergency efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation. Authorities have not released additional details regarding what led to the crash.
